Colours

Colours are a major theme in anything in life - the bright blue sky with white clouds on them works to make the daily sky seem upbeat and joyous. while the bright blue sky with dark black clouds on it are seen as unappealing and glum.
this is where colour balance comes into play. colours have to blend with each other and be distinct from one another in order to not clash.

the colour wheel displays colours (durr) and what colours are created upon mixing other colours. for example dark blue mixed with violet makes a purpley colour. this colour wheel would allow users who design stuff for games or simply designing clothes to choose which colours suit what and why.

theres such things as cool and warm colours with the redder colours being classed as the warmer one and the bluer ones being the cooler ones. warm and cool colours are colours which can be used to portray a sense of feeling into something - for example wearing a red colour in a cold enviroment would give the sense of warmth while wearing blue outside in the snow would give off the sense of it being extra cold. its all down to colour associations Humans have. for example blood is red and the traditional viewpoint is that red is bad - or stop. while blue and green colours would make someone more relaxed.

in terms of colour take into account the UEA in Norwich - its a concrete jungle of grey on the campus in which contains little to no nature in its design, however the acres of land along side it contradict this grey overtone and the lush green colours are more inviting.
